Discussion Index

Because the work done regarding the changing speed of light in general, and the Setterfield work in particular, is controversial, we have been looking for a way in which challenges and discussions could be fielded without the knee-jerk responses and acrimony often found in forums and yet still allowing timely discussion of the various issues involved. To this end, we are opening up this discussion page. A number of questions and responses from private emails and list serves will be posted here, usually anonymously, as the questions being asked are more important than who is asking them. We will endeavor to keep this page organized by basic topics, with the understanding that the issues involved reach far beyond the physics of simply the change in light speed. In order to keep the discussions as relevant as possible, the most frequently asked questions and challenges will be here instead of on a FAQ page, which few read anyway on most websites.

All relevant challenges and questions will be posted (lay questions and technical questions are both fine and encouraged) or, if already dealt with, the correspondent will be pointed to the area where the question has already been discussed. Further discussion is encouraged from that point. Please feel free to submit all discussion questions to barry@setterfield.org

Important Note:

The term cDK (speed of light decay) and Vc (variable light speed) are identical in terms of the Setterfield research and materials. Another term used in the scientific community is VSL, 'variable speed of light'.
